In 2015, he married Pala native Sangeetha who is a teacher at a private higher secondary school. Santhosh is a B Tech graduate and runs an IT institution near the Technopark. He was affected by polio at the age of 2 and has calipers from waist to the foot of both legs. Palode native AS Santhosh is son of K Appu and Saroja. Ranjan Raj rendered music for the song written by BK Harinarayanan. The song was recently released on YouTube and it went viral. Suresh Gopi suggested Santhosh to director Nithin Renji Panicker who set aside a song in the movie ‘Kaaval’ for Santhosh. Santhosh is on cloud nine as Suresh Gopi fulfilled his promise within months. The actor offered a chance for Santhosh in his next movie after hearing the story from his wife Sangeetha who participated in the programme. It was at a programme in a TV channel, Suresh Gopi came to know about Santhosh whose legs were paralysed due to polio. Kazhakkoottam: The dream of Santhosh to become a singer was fulfilled by Suresh Gopi through the upcoming Malayalam movie ‘Kaaval’.
